Samurai Fitness hosted an evening seminar with Andrew (Chivs) Chivers — a well respected Black Belt under the late Jimmy Johnstone, with 15 years of experience in competition and teaching.
Andrew's philosophy is simple: keep it moving, don't overcomplicate it, and play the long game. A wealth of experience, and we were delighted to welcome him to the mats.
A huge privilege, too, to have 4th Degree Black Belt Ian Rossiter on the mats supporting the session.

A ‘Guard Systems’ Seminar with Piers Roberts.

Piers has over 100 competition podium finishes, including:
The seminar focused on a concept-based approach to guard systems — and was definitely not to be missed.

Samurai Fitness hosted a Standing / Takedown Seminar with Mikey Monaghan — 1st Degree BJJ Black Belt (RGA) & 2nd Degree Judo Black Belt.
With over 22 years' experience in martial arts, Mikey covered, simplified and revolutionised the skill set of the BJJ practitioners on the mat.
His hybrid approach to techniques and game plans were not to be missed — a high-level coach with a wealth of experience, and probably the nicest bloke in Jiu Jitsu.
