Chris Last is the founder and Head Coach of Samurai Fitness BJJ. A former Royal Marine Commando with 24 years of service, he holds a Brown Belt under the Chamberlain Brothers at the Roger Gracie Academy Bristol, where he remains an active member of the coaching team.
A qualified PT, Fitness Instructor, Coach & Mentor, Chris has trained across the United States, Thailand and Brazil. He teaches with the clarity and structure that makes even the most complex techniques accessible to complete beginners.
Meet our Support Coach. Al Laoutaris is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Royal Marines Head Coach Tarik Bilgic. Al has served as a Royal Marine Commando for 26 years and has represented the Royal Navy & Royal Marines at the highest level in combat sports, including Boxing, Judo and BJJ.
He is a qualified Coach & Mentor and holds several military qualifications that benefit our students at Samurai Fitness BJJ. A family man from the local area, it is a privilege to have him on our team.
